Configure your campaign for Black Friday
Step 1: Create your product campaign
First, go to your Rakuten account to launch your Black Friday campaign in just a few minutes.
Once you’ve logged in to your Seller Area, click on My Campaigns, in the Marketing section.
Then click on Create a new product campaign to set up your promotional campaign.
Enter the details of your Black Friday campaign:
- Name : enter "Black Friday 2023 Campaign", for example
- Type : select the "Promotions" category
- Dates : define the start and end dates of your promotion
- Discount percentage: the higher the percentage, the more interesting your campaign will be
Then click on Validate
Step 2: Select the products for your campaign
Once the campaign has been created, it’s time to add ads to your product campaign. There are several possible methods:
- Manually: Go to your Inventory and click on All my ads. Then select the item you're interested in, click on Add to selection and choose the campaign you want.
- CSV or XML file integration: To manage larger volumes of ads, you can import a TXT, CSV or XML file encoded in UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1, specifying your product campaign ID. A webservice is available for you to import and test your XML file on Rakuten France. All the steps involved in integrating CSV or XML files can be found on our Help page.
- With the help of an integrator: You can also associate your products with your campaign through your integrator, by specifying your campaign ID.

Configure your catalog and improve your ads
Check your stock
It’s essential that your entire catalog is visible on the site. To do this, check:
- That all your ads are published once you've integrated them.
- If your EANs are correctly filled in to be correctly referenced on the site.
- Thestate of your inventory to avoid possible stock-outs.
