The data that must be provided in order for us to review your application and communicate with you is clearly indicated at the time it is requested.

Where applicable, we may also retain and use your data for the management of potential litigation, based on our legitimate interest.

3. How do we share your data?

If you have applied for a job offer, we may share your data with another entity of the Rakuten Group or with certain service providers in order to verify your references or assess the suitability of your skills for the position for which you have applied, based on our legitimate interest.

In this case, your data may be transferred outside the European Union.

For this reason, the communication of your data to another entity of the Rakuten Group for the review of your application is carried out in compliance with the Binding Corporate Rules (BCR) that we have adopted, which have been validated by the Luxembourgish data protection authority. Our Binding Corporate Rules ensure a comparable level of data protection worldwide within each entity of the Rakuten Group.

4. How long do we keep your data? ?

If you have applied for a job offer, we keep your data for as long as your application is being processed.

If your application is not successful, we will also keep your data in our candidate database for 2 years in order to contact you regarding other job offers that may interest you.

We invite you to refer to the following section if you wish to exercise the various rights you have regarding your data.

When you contact us, particularly via a contact form, we may keep your data for 5 years.

Finally, data relating to the audience measurement of our site is kept for 13 months.

5. How to exercise your rights ?

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, object to, restrict, and port your personal data.

When the processing implemented is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. In such a case, the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to this withdrawal will not be affected.
